Who can adopt?

We welcome adopters who are ready to make a lifelong commitment to a pet’s care and well-being. Our adoption process is designed to ensure a good match between pets and people, considering lifestyle, home environment, and the needs of each animal. Renters, families, singles, and seniors are all encouraged to apply.

Do you allow first-time pet owners?

Yes! First-time pet owners are absolutely welcome. We believe everyone starts somewhere, and we’re happy to provide guidance, education, and support to help new adopters feel confident and prepared. Asking questions and learning is part of being a responsible pet owner.

What if the adoption doesn't work out?

Our goal is always a successful, lasting adoption, but we understand that sometimes situations change. If an adoption isn’t the right fit, we ask that pets be returned to Right Fit Rescue rather than rehomed independently. We’ll work with you to ensure the pet remains safe and supported.

Are pets spayed/neutered and vaccinated?

Yes. All adoptable pets are spayed or neutered (age and health permitting) and receive age-appropriate vaccinations before adoption. We also provide any available medical history so adopters know what care has already been given and what may be needed in the future.
